TALKING TO STRESSED PERSON

 




I talked to a person, and what I observed about his life, was not much well. He was talking like he has nothing to enjoy or feel cheerful about in his life. He talked to me with a slow and disparaging voice. So I started.

I: “How did you come to know about stress?”

Kasif Ali: "I felt fear and worries for small things and converted to an introvert from sometime, i did not like to meet any people, and i did not like to talk to many peoples.  After coming from work, I tried to contain myself inside a room; my world became my room, and kept aside my family and friends. I felt aggressiveness for my subordinates. Eagles of my mind started a fire whenever I find any mistake in my subordinate’s work. I collided and abused some auto drivers and some chaiwalas. Some of my colleague observed this, my unusual behaviour and they told me about stress.it was time when my crown of happiness and doing chill was released."

I: “What did you do then?”

Kasif Ali: I went to a doctor, a normal doctor and told him freely and candidly about all the things that I felt, not only what my colleague observed. I feel insomnia and fear from loud noise, did not like going out, sometime I felt strange with my own body; whenever I touched my own body parts with my own hand it gave a feeling like someone else was touching me. I felt confuse sometimes like a debate was going on between my heart my mind.”

I: “Why did you not consult with a psychologist?”

Kasif Ali: “I did not found any psychologist near me. As I am a working professional so I do not want to spend much time on searching any psychologist.”

I: “What did doctor do then? Did he suggest any therapy or something?”

Kasif Ali: “The doctor understood the symptoms and just prescribed some medicines. He did not suggest any therapy.”

I: “When did you feel well? How much time did it take you to overcome.”

Kasif Ali: “It was not a swift movement but took one week, I started feeling well and getting improvement in my health. Later on, I asked from the doctor for some natural ways, and how can i get rid of cup of my  medicines? doctor advised me to do workout or yoga whichever is convenient.”

I: “That was amazing to know about fast improvement in your health. Did you carry on your medicines?”

Kasif Ali: “I still take my medicine but I go for running and practice yoga for some time. I was a great lover of football which I left after joining my job. Now I think I should play. I again went to the doctor and told about my present feeling and progress in my health. After counselling, the doctor did not increase the dose of my medicine but advised me to carry on workout or yoga, and continued with some medicines.”

I: “Kasif Ali, Thank you very much for giving some of your minutes and the information you shared, wish you all the best.”

  2. Depression and anxiety disorder areserious mental disorder that needs timely treatment. It is high time that stigma associated with it is removed. It could happen to anyone regardless of gender and age.
