Language: English
Hardcover: 208 pages
This book is very easy to read and less time consuming. I took almost seven hours to complete this. The writer separated this book in small parts. In each part the reader will find something innovative and a deep view of that matter. The writer also labelled a small note at the beginning the book; it is very beneficial for the readers to get an essence of the book within few minutes.
The writer did his research on the people of Japan especially of island of Okinawa where most of the people are hundred years old. This book is the eclectic information of that people. The writer described all the ways of that people about how they live, how they eat and how they make themselves happy.
This book is about how can people keep themselves healthy and happy that may lead them to live more than hundred years. For this the writer described so many theories popular in each part of the world. The writer also described eating habits for day to day practice.
The most thing I liked in this book is a formula that writer described. In this formula almost all the aspects are covered for our life. This formula defines exact meaning of the ikigai.
This book helps us to achieve long life while living happily. It is also a guide to understand the insight art of being happy and young while one is actually growing old.
It explains how too much of stress lead one to worse one’s heath and mind also. In this book there are so many techniques described to make one’s body fit and lead a happy life if one practice it in day to day life.
This book also teaches so may thought provoking life lessons in which one of the lessons are of forgiveness, one should always forgive people no matter how big their mistakes is, and result of it will lead one to be distressing and happy mind.
It is not a life changing book as one may hear of it. It is not like one found oneself very close to it but one only get theories to practise. It is only a guide towards a healthy and happy life with some basic ideas like in our childhood we are told to get up early, do some work out, and eat less etc. and just writer pondered his professional view on it with a research, the reader may not find it much interesting.
The reader may not get a comprehensive grasp to the main philosophy. But he will get just a superficial way to read about particular subject. The writer did his own research and put it in a book but the overall insights are shallow and subjective.
The reader may find it a superficial and incoherent attempt what writer tried to figure out some think, but it is eventually not much fascinating. It is not written in flow.
