I completed this book in eight hours (not continuous). The book is very easy to read and understand the language of the book is very simple and interesting. This book is not about author’s survival in the concentration camp under Nazi in World War II.

We may have restrictions, brutal or suffering in the hard time, but no one can restrict our mental freedom. We can always think well and imagine anything. Each and every person in this world has some purpose in his life, but most of the people do not know this. We should explore the meaning of our life. In the times of greatest disparity, there is always a space available to choose our attitude, follow religion and help people. We can be the best humankind.

The prisoners in this concentration camp lived differently on their belief and on their attitude. Some people acted like swine and some people like Saints. Some people always followed their moral valuand die heroically, helping others till death, while some people become animals who always commit crimes. Some people have no meaning in life and gave up, sitting idle all day while others like author has meaning despite all the suffering.

The first half of the book is about author’s experience in concentration camps. The second half is his theory of logotherapy to find meaning in life.

I really enjoyed reading the first half part especially about love, missing his wife and the dawn breaking on the horizon. This part is the most beautiful description of love.

The author was captured and put in a concentration camp in Auschwitz during World War II. We learn in this book that why one should have! Meaning in his life why we should have goals!

The conclusion of the book is that we must never fear any situation and hurdles, we are facing. We must be ready to face any ups and downs in our life. We must explore the meaning of life. We should love; even we are for away from our lovers. We should be happy in every situation rather feeling fear, depression, anxiety etc. This is a must read book for the person who is feeling helpless and hopeless.
