BOOK SUMMARY: RICH DAD POOR DAD
This book is more about financial literacy and less about money management. The author learned so many things from his two dads, one who was his real dad (poor dad) and the one who was his friend’s dad(rich Dad).
The author learned from the rich that you did not need to get any degree to be rich neither you did not need to get high income job to be rich. Rich people don’t work for money, but they employ their money to make money for them. Rich people always try to create assets while the poor or middle class find it hard to understand differences between assets and liabilities, so they do not hesitate to create liabilities.
Our aptitude for money is what we do and how we invest your money once we make it! The single most powerful asset is our brain, if it is trained well.
Our money keeps on coming or going, but if we have the financial literacy then we can keep it and invest it. Most of the people do not have control on their fear and greed. They do not have ability to take risk. They keep on working for their typical job and finding ways to become rich through hard work. They do not understand money and cash flow, so they struggle financially. They don’t try to know finance because the fear of losing money rather than having joy to be rich.
The author’s real dad(poor dad) is a highly intelligent and highly educated. He believed in going to school, get good marks, get a high paying job and become rich. But the poor dad in his own life is a poor one.
Rich Dad, the father of author’s best friend. He also believed the same for something, but he believed most in financial education, learning the cash flow, learning to make money.
There is gold everywhere most people are not trained to see it. This lack of vision and clarity we face in the world. We are asked to work hard from our young age. But we should train our self to get in touch with the people who have a wide knowledge for money and cash flow.
