HOW TO WRITE STORIES

Writing short story can be very easy if we follow basics of writing. If we start writing without any plan or without any background then we lose the quality of our writing. So before writing a story we should write most of the elements of the story in a separate paper.

Character's Profile

Clearly define the character.

What aspect a writer want from this?

How is it’s personality?

How does it look like, if needed?

How does the character thinks and what is it's motivation?

Is the character strong or weak?

Is the character wise or dull?

These are some questions which can be write about before actually writing the story. I make my character in my mind and think about how it should be! Apart from that think if the character has anything else like skill, language etc.

Once the profile of character is built then you can write all the detail in separate sheet.

Plot

Before moving let’s ask some questions.

Do you have a plot?

Is it enough to describe the story?

Does this plot have all the parts you needed?

There are some questions which clear the plot. Try  to start with simple plot.

Planning

Here we almost have all the things. Let’s make outline. To write easily we have to break the story in different part-

 a. In this part write as our protagonist have a problem in the plot and trying to act.

b. They are finding out solution and trying to collect every information.

 c. They finally act on the information and this conclude the story.

Plan for writing your story

Built a plot

Select character, make one character who lead the story, give a personality to it.

The basic element of a story comprises introduction, dialogues, actions, reactions, elaboration, flashback, twist etc.

Tips for writing story-

For ideas, I suggest to write on the ideas that generate from our self. For that we care the most. Ideas can come anytime so try to write it even in phone. But we can get some ideas from our friend, parents etc.
