BROKEN BIRTHDAY AND THE BOY : PART 4
Mrs. Parul took cake from fridge. Mr. Subramanian started putting candles on the cake. They both clicked some pics and took selfie together. She also made a video call to her mother. She slowly blew out the candles. Mr. Subramanian clapped for her and said happy birthday to you Mrs. Parul, My darling. She laughed out loud. They both removed the candles form the cake. She put some piece of cake and fed to Mr. Subramanian. He also fed some piece of cake to Mrs. Parul. Her mother was also watching through video call. She took blessing form her mother. Mr. Subramanian went inside bed room and took a gift. Mrs. Parul expected some gift like jewelry or mobile phone or any product that could fit in his office bag. Mr. Subramanian gave the gift to her in front of her mother. Mrs. Parul was not able to guess what would be inside the gift. Her mother insisted her to open the gift. She opened it. It was a book,Vikas Khanna: Everyone Can Cook.
She liked so many books but she never bought this kind of book. She bought some novels and thriller books in her college days. Her mother also did not say anything on this simple gift. But her mother said, "You both enjoy, I’m going to take dinner." She cut the video call. Mr. Subramanian asked, "Did you like the gift?" She said, "Yes i like it." But for the gifts she expected something special that could connect their relationship or make her emotional.
Mr. Subramanian said to Mrs. Parul, " Please bring food. Lets have dinner. I’m very tired, need to sleep early." Mrs. Parul did not say anything but moved to kitchen. The book was still lying on the sofa and the cake was also on the table. She served the food and some cake for dinner. She also started eating the food. Mr. Subramanian told her about his office meeting and about traffic on the roads. Mrs. Parul was not interested to listen any of the things. Mr. Subramanian after the dinner got busy on his phone call and moved to bed room. He said, "I’m tired. I need to sleep."
Mrs. Parul started cleaning the dining table. She was not able to understand anything, not even to Mr. Subramanian. Mr. Subramanian who promised so much before marriage with her. He was now change totally. Mrs. Parul was thinking all this and finished her work. She moved to bedroom.
