NANI'S HOME PART 6

Raj took glass and water. Mami asked Preeti to take dinner later and asked her to serve kachori to everyone. Preeti served kachaudi one by one to everyone chutney and dahi in each bowl. Nani started talking about studies of Ram and Shyam. She asked about their future while Mami asked them to learn something apart from study, learn at least two skills. Preeti served more kachori to everyone. They also discussed about crop field which their father own. They all finished dinner and washed their hands. Nana went outside of the home. Nani asked Mami to take dinner and she would make kachori for her. Mami told that she had already prepared enough kachori for herself and for Preeti.

Mami asked Nani to go for a walk, “She will manage the work.”

Nani did not go outside for a walk. She sat to clean the plates and other utensils.

Ram, Shyam and Raj went outside home. They just started walking to their neighbour’s home. Raj met his friends and introduced Ram and Shyam. They were sitting in a khaat(day bed) and gossiping. Some time passed, Nana came out to call them. He asked them to go home and sleep. They came back; Raj and Shyam took more khaat outside of the home. They prepared their bed. Shyam chose to sleep in one khaat while Raj and Ram took another khaat. Later, Preeti also came outside of the home.

Though, she used to sleep inside home with her grandmother. They talked for ghosts which Preeti saw sometime ego. Shyam also told that he also heard the sound of payal in late night, this sound was coming from school which was beside his home. They feared to sleep outside home. Preeti asked everyone to stop talking about ghost. Let’s play Ludo, Preeti asked.

Shyam: But here is darkness all over, we cannot see Ludo.

Preeti: I can bring a diya(light). We can put diya on stool and play Ludo in our khaat.

Ram excitingly asked Preeti to take Ludo. They prepared to play. Preeti brought Ludo and they started playing it. Nana asked them to be quiet and let me sleep. They kept quiet for some time and later again came to previous condition. They played Ludo for half hour of the night. Preeti feared as it was midnight if there was any ghost. She asked Raj to leave her to home. Raj denied and said, “There is no ghost. I can see.” Shyam asked her to go. He went with her.

It was morning everyone was sleeping, Nani came outside of the home for brooming. She asked them to wake up. In a quiet and sleepy voice, Raj said, “Amma(grand mother) today is Sunday. Let us sleep, today is our school’s holiday.” Raj pretended to sleep. She did not stop brooming. Sometime later everyone woke up.
