SOURCE: PIXABAY

Read to write better. Everyone who wants to be a writer, he must do first thing to read a lot. The person can learn a lot from reading a lot of all kind of literature. There is no one in the world who can become a good writer without reading good literature. Here reading does not refer reading casually for entertainment or because for time pass. The thing that matter is to read critically, analysing for oneself every detail of the work, asking questions at every step as to why the writer has devised his plot in a particular manner or has made the character act the way they do, and whether it could have been done in any other style. Reading from long time in this manner grows up a writer’s equipment. The reader grows his vocabulary. It generally provides ready answers to the questions which crop up in process of writing.

Allow your experience to ripen. The observation and experience which you get from the life surrounding, should not write on paper as it is. That would make it a mere matter of fact, hackneyed piece of journalism. You should develop to make that experience from your own, by internalising it. You should make it to gestate within your mind, in this process you will like some details and some dislike. This gestation will also make it personal, intimate and genuine. So it is not be the best to rush for pen and paper as soon as you desire to write something. We have used the word gestation. The art of writing is similar to giving birth to something. It should come naturally of its own, after it is ripe enough and when it can no longer wait.

Write your experience in your style. It will be a good way to ask you before writing about anything, whether this content is something common which others have already written about or something new. If it is new and unique, there is nothing like it. It is not that every writer can always find new things to write about. In the life surrounding you may not get new theme to offer everyday. It is the same birth, the same hunger, the same love and the same death always. But though the themes are few and limited, their variations are unlimited, vary from writer to writer. Here, you get opportunity to write imaginatively, you get scope to use your mind and your experience. You can write old things differently in your style, bring your own insights and perception into it.

Start your writing in your diary. It will not be good to just start writing and publishing stories or novels. It is the best way to start writing in your diary and reminiscence. For some days or months of continue writing in your diary for your own reading, it will give you confidence and a chance to skill up to write more difficult genre of writing letter on.

Visualization, outline and design… whenever you get an idea and you think to write on it. You want to make a fairly good literary work with it then you keep thinking about it and the ingredients involved like the theme, plot, situations, character, dialogues etc. Make a draft, write every small detail that occurs in your mind, then proceed to take decorate your words sequentially and prepare an outline that will give starting, developing and end of your story of novel. You are suggested to make a clear picture of your story before putting pen on paper. This is the way to visualization.

There are some writers who do not make outline or draft, they just have an idea and start writing their project. They may have outdated or boring idea but they finish their projects one of the best content. This happens because of their long experience or vast reading of different kind of genre. This method is not suggested to the novice writer
