WHY THIS BOOK: FLOW
Flow book is written by Mihaly Csikszentmihali. It is based on happiness. Flow is a state of consciousness that makes an experience satisfying. In the book we read about optimal experience. It is discovered that people will usually get deep enjoyment from being totally involved with life, either by being creative, learning new skills, concentrating on difficult tasks or establishing clear goals.
In the book, the theory has been written, is very interesting to me because I found that I am learning a new skill through books and pursuing my goals. I find that I just cannot be settled in a simple routine. I always have to be pushing myself by developing my mind, body and soul. So, this book establishes what we all probably know while helping us understand the psychology behind the theory wrote in the book.
This book is not for just a read or a light read. It is dense, heavy and requires concentration. The amount of concentration needed to get through. The book goes towards one of the components of deep enjoyment which is what this book encourages for living a deeply fulfilled life. I would probably refer back to the book and keep it almost like a hand book of life. It is important for all of us to remember why we are here on this planet and this book helps us realize it.
So, if anyone is unhappy, anxious, lost or generally disappointed with the way life is sailing, grab this book and give a read. This book will prove an enlightening and entertaining experience that will propel us to live our best life.

Mihaly Csikszentmihali’s book on flow is one of the most influential and seminal work on happiness. It is exhaustive and well-articulated which considers all aspects of the optimal experience on consciousness, body, thoughts, solitude or even on personal relationship. It is not some philosophical work but a mixture of research oriented and psychology book which provides a fresh perspective.
